First off we must realize it is Impossible to “know” God’s mind. But it isn’t even hard to know His desire for His creation, all it takes is reading His Word!

But first lets look at what He says about us knowing His thoughts:

Isaiah 55: 7-11, Let the wicked forsake his way and the evil man his thoughts. Let him turn to the LORD, and he will have mercy on him, and to our God for he will freely pardon. “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither my ways your ways,” declares the LORD. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. As the rain and snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.

Pretty clear, huh?

We speak of things as for tomorrow- I will do this or that, when in reality, we have no idea of what tomorrow will bring. But with God, as I said before, looks at the tomorrows as if it were yesterday. To Him it isn’t something He wonders about but just like He already experienced it.

He doesn’t speak from what He hopes or wishes will come about but what will happen- period! Did you notice the first two verses I posted? Before He spoke of His great knowledge? His desire is to forgive!

The last He is saying people will turn from their evil ways- I am an example of one that listened to His voice, hope you are one too. There is no greater peace, in a person’s heart than to “know” he belongs to Jesus.

But there is another purpose, I see, about what God’s Word accomplishes. It also stands as judgement to those that refuse to believe and accept God as Lord of their lives. Like who can say, But I didn’t know, or you didn’t warn me?

See there Will be a judgement day, when all the earth will give an account:

Matt. 12: 34- 37, You brood of vipers, how can you who are evil say anything good? For out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks. The good man brings good things out of the good stored up in him, and the evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in him. But I tell you that men will have to give account on the day of judgment for every careless word they have spoken. For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned.”

Romans 14: 11-12, It is written: “‘As surely as I live,’ says the Lord, ‘every knee will bow before me; every tongue will confess to God.'” So then, each of us will give an account of himself to God.

What words will acquit and what words will condemn?

Those that acquit- yes Lord, I am a sinner in need of your forgiveness and Lordship in my life- take me and use me as You see fit, I am Your’s!

Those that condemn- I am my own, I will see fit to do as I please- this can be in many forms like: separation of church and state because you are saying. I don’t want You ruling my life!!

Sinner, if you are reading this He is waiting for you to accept Him as Lord (boss) of your life and if you continue to refuse Him and His Lordship:

Revelation: 20: 11-15, Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. Earth and sky fled from his presence, and there was no place for them. And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books. The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what he had done. Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death. If anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.

The last verse are those that refused His love and Lordship which is freely given to ALL that will believe and accept Him on His terms! It’s His Heaven and His right to determine who can come in and who can’t. His rules are made very clear.

So in that, we can know the mind of God because He clearly spoke it for “us” so it is entirely up to “us” to decide to accept Him or reject Him!
