In the previous post I mentioned 6 topics we would be looking at, I hope it wasn’t confusing as to they will not be in the order posted. It was my intent to do so however, I believe, God had a different idea so He changed “my” mind. 🙂

We can read many places concerning the birth of Jesus including His being of a virgin girl. Some of these are:

Isaiah 7: 14, Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel. Immanuel means God with us.

Isaiah 9: 6&7, For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the greatness of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David’s throne and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal of the LORD Almighty will accomplish this.

These were written approximately 700 years before His birth.

Luke 1: 26- 38, In the sixth month of Elizabeth’s pregnancy, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a town in Galilee, to a virgin pledged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of David. The virgin’s name was Mary. The angel went to her and said, “Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you.” Mary was greatly troubled at his words and wondered what kind of greeting this might be.

But the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favor with God. You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, and he will reign over Jacob’s descendants forever; his kingdom will never end.” “How will this be,” Mary asked the angel, “since I am a virgin?”

The angel answered, “The Holy Spirit will come on you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God. Even Elizabeth your relative is going to have a child in her old age, and she who was said to be unable to conceive is in her sixth month. For no word from God will ever fail.” “I am the Lord’s servant,” Mary answered. “May your word to me be fulfilled.” Then the angel left her.

John 3: 16&17, For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

I could post many more but for the sake of space and this is a known fact by all believers, I’ll let you look them up yourself. The point is Jesus is the Savior of this world (people) for those that will simply believe, accept Him as that Savior and Lord of their lives.

This is true for you and I, NO matter of what we have done with our lives, NO matter how we have cursed Him or hated Him all it takes is to repent of all that and let Him be the King in our lives before He becomes the Judge of us after this measly life is over!

Hebrews 10: 31, It is a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

Revelation 20: 11-15, Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. The earth and the heavens fled from his presence, and there was no place for them. And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books. The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what they had done. Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death. Anyone whose name was not found written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire.

Notice the last verse: all those that their names aren’t in the book of life were thrown in the lake of fire- Only way to get our name in THAT book is to accept Jesus. If you don’t have Him as your Lord, do so before it is too late, just go to Him and talk with Him as you would do anyone, He is waiting and able to do what NO one else can!
