Becoming the Man God Designed You to Be

Young men, I am sure that all of you reading this desire to become good providers. You want to become successful in life. You also desire to be a good example and role model to others, especially your children. Certainly, you want to have positive relationships, especially with your wife.

I am writing to men here because men do not talk much about these issues, and men don’t want to admit that they don’t “have it all together.”

All of us must identify any negative experiences, relational issues, or teachings that are not bringing positive results in life, and in spiritual and emotional maturity. We must identify specific things like anger, low self-esteem, depression, lack of forgiveness, or the inability to develop and maintain functional and positive relationships. One must explore his past to see if any specific things in his church, school, or family upbringing have negatively impacted the present.

What Everyone Needs to Know about Their Salvation 3 of 3

Ephesians 1:12-14:

“In order that we, who were the first to hope in Christ, might be for the praise of his glory. And you also were included in Christ when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation. Having believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit [earnest payment] guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of of those who are God’s possession – to the praise of his glory” (NIV).

How do we know we are not only saved but safe? How do we know we are not only saved but secure? Because not only are we saved, but we are also sealed. We are saved and safe, saved and secure, because we are saved and sealed.

We Are Not Sinners Because We Sin, We Sin Because We are Sinners

This Bible study as most I have written is designed to rid the believer of any doubt regarding God’s love for them and their complete and total forgiveness in Christ. It is only satan who wants you to doubt your total forgiveness and righteousness in Christ which leads you to doubt God’s love. Satan knows that doubting these truths is specifically what keeps a believer trapped in reoccurring sin and ineffective for God. These studies are designed to renew the mind.

This study goes in depth with abundant scripture to prove that we were made sinners and born into a fallen world because of Adams disobedience. We can only be made righteous, right with God, by faith in Jesus obedience.  Our outward acts of sin while wrong, are only symptoms of our inherited sin nature. This is why just doing good works now will not save anyone. God gave man the law to protect us from each others fallen nature and reveal our need for a savior. Jesus came to deal with that inherited nature and tells us we must be born again to overcome it and be a co-heir with Christ. Get your Bible out and study with me. If you have any questions, comments or objections, I really hope you will post them below the study or contact me through private messenger.

Why do People Manipulate Each Other? Part 2

One reason that people struggle with manipulation is that they have a personal agenda they are determined to fulfill. “It must get done at all costs.” Even when an agenda has “good intentions,” a person may still employ manipulation in order to accomplish his goals. While goal setting in of itself can be a good thing, the way the goals are met will determine if they are truly worthy. That is to say, methodology will expose the heart of the individual.

As believers, we need to realize that God is more concerned with our ways than our acts (see Matthew 7:17-27). Generally, our acts will be the result our ways found in the heart. A person may have a “ good” agenda or goal, but if it is based upon hypocrisy, it will be of no eternal value to him. By definition, a hypocrite is an actor pretending to be someone he is not. There is a difference between having shortcomings from time to time in our walk as believers, and one pretending to be a believer. A worthy goal is faith-based, glorifies God, and is rooted in love (Galatians 5:6). That means we should be concerned with the will of the Father, and let Him determine our goals and the way they are carried out. Secondly, our desire should be to glorify our King out of love for Him. That same love should dictate the way we interact with others. Our agenda is simple: love and obey the Father through Jesus Christ our Lord, in the power of the Holy Spirit. When we determine our own agenda on our terms, we will be heading for trouble. Manipulation will be nipping at our heals.

Is Your Marriage On Shaky Grounds?

“The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My [God’s] purpose is to give life in all its fullness” (St. John 10:10 NTL).

Is your marriage on shaky grounds?

Do you feel like the only solution to your marital problem is separation?

The devil is a liar. He knows it and takes pride in the fact that he’s crowned the king of deception he’ll have you believe your marriage is over. And that’s his sole purpose on earth–to deceive. You cannot allow this deception to become your reality. The enemy didn’t want you to get married in the first place, so he will try everything possible to have your marriage dissolved. But be encouraged today: God promised you life, not death. So do not believe the lies that the enemy brings to destroy your marriage. It’s time to claim your marriage back, in Jesus’ name.

God’s Gifts and Our Works

After John’s messengers left, Jesus began to speak to the crowd about John: “What did you go out into the wilderness to see? A reed swayed by the wind? If not, what did you go out to see? A man dressed in fine clothes? No, those who wear expensive clothes and indulge in luxury are in palaces. But what did you go out to see? A prophet? Yes, I tell you, and more than a prophet. This is the one about whom it is written: “’I will send my messenger ahead of you, who will prepare your way before you.’ I tell you, among those born of women there is no one greater than John; yet the one who is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he.” Luke 7:24-28 NIV
