Is Your Marriage On Shaky Grounds?

“The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My [God’s] purpose is to give life in all its fullness” (St. John 10:10 NTL).

Is your marriage on shaky grounds?

Do you feel like the only solution to your marital problem is separation?

THE DECEPTION

The devil is a liar. He knows it and takes pride in the fact that he’s crowned the king of deception he’ll have you believe your marriage is over. And that’s his sole purpose on earth–to deceive. You cannot allow this deception to become your reality. The enemy didn’t want you to get married in the first place, so he will try everything possible to have your marriage dissolved. But be encouraged today: God promised you life, not death. So do not believe the lies that the enemy brings to destroy your marriage. It’s time to claim your marriage back, in Jesus’ name.

God’s Gifts and Our Works

After John’s messengers left, Jesus began to speak to the crowd about John: “What did you go out into the wilderness to see? A reed swayed by the wind? If not, what did you go out to see? A man dressed in fine clothes? No, those who wear expensive clothes and indulge in luxury are in palaces. But what did you go out to see? A prophet? Yes, I tell you, and more than a prophet. This is the one about whom it is written: “’I will send my messenger ahead of you, who will prepare your way before you.’ I tell you, among those born of women there is no one greater than John; yet the one who is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he.” Luke 7:24-28 NIV

A Graduation Poem

May all you graduates spread your wings,
and learn to soar and do many things.

But in all that you do, remember this.
Life won’t always bring you bliss.

There will be times when the road is rough
And you will really have to hang tough.

With all that you do and all that you say,
Don’t forget God and walk in His way.

You must take time to watch and pray,
and seek His face each and every day.

So follow your dream and follow your heart,
But you and God must not be apart.

Let Him lead you, wherever you go,
and don’t always follow the world’s flow.

Just love God and seek to please Him,

What Everyone Needs to Know about Their Salvation 2 of 3

The first reason to believe in eternal security is because Salvation is of the Lord. We looked at that in the previous article and, with an open mind, discussed asking God to change our thinking on the issue if needed. The goal for any teacher, or preacher, should not be trying to make sure they’ve always been right, but instead to make sure they presently are right. So, again, I ask you to hear me out before you pass judgment on me or this doctrine. Don’t be like a programmed machine, investigate Scripture and decide for yourself.

A second reason to believe in eternal security is the language found in the following passage:

10 Commandments Are Not Gods Highest Standard

You therefore must be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect. Matt 5:48 ESV

I used to believe and many teach that Matthew 5:48 talks about perfect law keeping. I was wrong. It is talking about a much higher standard of perfection that simply keeping the written law can never attain.

We should be very thankful that God gave us the written law we see in the Ten Commandments as opposed to insisting we keep the perfect spirit of the those Commandments or come under judgment. God’s perfect standard is actually watered down in the Ten Commandments which will appear easy to keep once a person realizes Gods perfect standard cited below. The commandments are only a shadow the reality.

Why do People Manipulate Each Other? Part 1

Beginning at the fall, people have not ceased to manipulate one another. Even though none of us likes to be manipulated, we have all been guilty of the same crime. One would think after all these years, we would have finally come to a point where we stop; however, it appears as time progressed humankind has become worse. Even more disappointing, it is still prevalent in the church -believers manipulating believers and nonbelievers alike. Of all places where we should be void of this phenomenon, it still exits. Upon reading this, some may be tempted to say that they do not manipulate others, but can they really be sure? Sometimes people have blind spots, and unaware of the ways they do. Perhaps to see how we unwittedly participate in this process of controlling others, we need to understand why. By definition, manipulation means to cleverly or unfairly control or influence a person or situation. Of course, manipulation can, and often does, affect numerous people at one time. Getting down to the nuts and bolts of it, why do people manipulate others?
