Many times we want to pick and choose what to read in God’s Word, and that means we often miss what He has actually said. What is more important that to know what He said so we can know what to believe?

In the last post we were looking at the day Jesus was crucified. How there are three different days of the week and how Thursday isn’t even listed being on the 14th day of Nisan. Which we know was the day He was crucified.

That Friday was also impossible because of the women going to the grave would not have a day to buy and prepare the burial spices if it were Friday. But even more so because of Jesus’ very words:

Matthew 12:40, For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of a Hugh fish so the Son of Man will be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

Knowing you can do anything with the word “day” from starting it at midnight, six am., six PM., sun up or sun down. There isn’t anything you can do with the word “night” except know it is the dark period of a twenty four day.

Another post we looked at holding grudges and how it effected us physically, but what about Spiritually? Which to any Christian should mean even more.

Will God tell us to “go away” if we hold something against others, or even if they do against us, and we haven’t done our best to reconcile?

Matthew 5: 23&24, “Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to your brother then come and offer your gift.

Seems He doesn’t want our gift, false praise, when we are out of His will by holding or allowing others to have ill feelings without trying to reconcile.

1st Corinthians 11:28 – 31, A man ought to examine himself before he eats of the bread or drinks of the cup. For everyone that eats and drinks without recognizing the body of the Lord eats and drinks judgment on himself. That is why many among you are weak and sick, and a number of you have fallen asleep.

We can’t just come before a pure and Righteous God in any way we choose we must be repentant. He is Holy!

2 Timothy 3: 1-5, But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God- having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.

Did you take note to all the things mentioned that ARE sin? If not read them again and again till they sink in. Did you also see that the ones mentioned are NOT openly lost but those that pretend to be children of God?

Do you know some one that is like the ones mentioned? Are you one that is guilty of the things (sins) mentioned? If so there is a problem with them or you, and God, that nothing can remedy except repentance before an Almighty God.

Then, instead of go away, He will say, Come to me My child!
