Recently I received and e-mail, which wasn’t true, as with most things that come in, however I did notice there were some interesting points that I would love to share:

A question was asked:

God created everything?

The Bible is clear:

Gen. 1:1, In the beginning God created, John 1: 1-3, In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through Him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.

He created Satan so He must have created evil. Right?

Which brought up an interesting response:

Is there such a thing as cold?

Of course there is.

No, there isn’t!

You can have lots of heat, even more heat, super-heat, mega-heat, (I used to work for a power company that had- Super heat) white heat, but we don’t have anything called ‘cold’ nor is there any way to register ‘cold.’

We can register down to 458 degrees below zero, which is no heat, until then we are registering ‘heat’ but we can’t go any farther after that.

There is no such thing as cold; otherwise we would be able to go lower than the lowest –458 degrees.

Every body or object is susceptible to study when it has or transmits energy, and heat is what makes a body or matter have or transmit energy. Absolute zero (- 458 F) is the total absence of heat. You see, cold is only a word we use to describe the absence of heat.

We cannot measure cold. Heat we can measure in thermal units because heat is energy. Cold is not the opposite of heat, just the absence of it.

What about darkness. Is there such a thing as darkness?

Of course there is, I see it every night.

No, darkness is not something; like cold, it is the absence of something. You can have low light, normal light, bright light, flashing light, but if you have no light constantly you have nothing and it’s called darkness.

That’s the word we use to define less or no light. In reality, darkness isn’t. If it were, you would be able to make darkness darker, but you can’t, you can only remove more light.

Your question was, since God created Satan therefore God created evil, Right?

No, evil does not exist, or at least it does not exist unto itself.

Evil is simply the absence of God. It is just like cold and darkness a word to describe the absence of God. God did not create evil. Evil is a result of what happened when Satan decided to do without God and when man does not have God’s love in his heart. It’s like the cold that comes when there is no heat or the darkness that comes when there is no light.

As we are reading a question occurs, Do you have the Love of God, that comes through Jesus, in your heart?
