All Things Work together for Good?

Many Christians live in bondage to incorrect religious and biblical teachings, but they can experience liberation when a verse is interpreted properly. It is a very common practice for Christians, including leaders and pastors, to quote verses out of context. In so doing, much damage is done in people’s lives. Here is such an example, taken from an except in my published book, GOD’S HEALING HOPE: BREAKING THE STRONGHOLDS OF WRONG THINKING, regarding Romans 8:28.

“Most Christians know that this verse is one of the most often quoted. ‘And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.’

Seek the Sick

One big problem we have is that it can take pretty long time for us to establish the condition of our health. It is a tragedy to be sick and be ignorant about it. There are many sicknesses that hide in the body for a long time without their symptoms showing up. By the time they are discovered, the damage would have been done. This, however, is not as common as the spiritual sickness that hide in people’s lives, keeping them for an eternal surprise.

When accused of eating with sinners (tax collectors precisely), Jesus gave an answer that was in the circumstances sarcastic but generally true. In Luke 5:27-32, the Bible records that Jesus went out and saw a tax collector by the name of Levi sitting at his tax booth. “Follow me,” Jesus said to him, Levi got up, left everything and followed Him. Interesting! Jesus asked Levi to follow Him and the next thing we are told is that Levi held a great banquet for Jesus at his (Levi’s) house. The Lord had just asked Levi to follow Him as He led the way to Levi’s home—sounds like self-invitation. A large crowd of tax collectors and others also joined at Levi’s home for a feast. The Pharisees and the teachers, however, complained to Jesus’ disciples, “Why do you eat and drink with tax collectors and ‘sinners’?”

18 Things To Get Rid Of To Be Happy

Everyone, believer or non-believer, wants to achieve happiness. There is nothing wrong with wanting to be happy as long as it is not our end all goal. Other than not having a relationship with Christ, the biggest thing that holds us back from accomplishing our dreams is, unfortunately, ourselves. We put limitations on ourselves every day, whether consciously or subconsciously. There are several practical things we can do to overcome these restraints.

“Life can either be something you embrace or something you hide from.” Stop making things more complicated than they actually are and just start living your life. It would be so much easier and more enjoyable if we would learn to just release certain unnecessary and unbiblical limitations.

Jesus Never Called a Believer a Hypocrite

This Bible study as most I have written is designed to rid the believer of any doubt regarding God’s love for them and their complete and total forgiveness in Christ. It is only satan who wants you to doubt your total forgiveness and righteousness in Christ which leads you to doubt God’s love. Satan knows that doubting these truths is specifically what keeps a believer trapped in reoccurring sin and ineffective for God. These studies are designed to renew the mind.

The purpose of this article is to reveal the truth that God never called a believer a hypocrite no matter how badly they failed. The title of hypocrite was exclusively reserved for the self-righteous unbeliever.

Who Calls Those Things Which Be Not As If They Were?

Romans 4:17 (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he (Abraham) believed, even God, Who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were (KJV).

From time to time, there will be those who will misapply the Word of God when trying to walk or speak by faith. It is not that they intend to misapply it; rather, they have either have been taught incorrectly, or they believe they see a principle to apply without studying it out more fully. Usually, the intentions are good in that they want to please God through living by faith. One such verse that is sometimes misused is Romans 4:17. Sometimes, believers will use this verse as a license to “Call those things which be not as if they were.” While this verse helps bring definition to how faith works, we cannot lawfully use it to call things into existence, at least on our own.

Why is Sex a Taboo Subject in the Church?

Sex is a gift from God to married people, yet many churches fail to teach on this topic/ subject. They shy away from issues to do with sex and relationship, yet they wonder why the divorce rate is so high, even in the church.

If couples go to church to get married, should it not be that pre-marital and marital counselling also come from the church? Just as a new believer is taken through pre-baptismal and/or ‘new converts classes’ so should a couple be given pre-marital counselling. But it shouldn’t stop there. Once you become a believer, you don’t automatically become a mature Christian; knowing how to walk the path of righteousness. For this reason, the new convert’s class; Bible study and prayer meetings are introduced so that one can learn and grow. In the world of retail we call this ‘after-care.’
