What day was Jesus Crucified?

There have been different beliefs as to what day of the week Jesus was crucified, it is widely believed to be Friday, but there is a number of people that believe it was Thursday then there are those that cling to Wednesday as the actual day of His crucifixion.

Friday is the day believed by most because of the Scripture concerning the Sabbath day!

Luke 23:54, It was Preparation Day, and the Sabbath was about to begin.

Thursday is usually because of the very words of Jesus- being 3 days and 3 nights in the grave!

Matthew 12:40, For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of a huge fish, so the Son of Man will be three days and three nights in the the heart of the earth.

Labeling People

I recently have encountered this situation and need to interrupt the 6 part series that I have been working on. This is very important and needs to be addressed.

Sometimes we don’t like something someone has done or said so we label them. As soon as we do that their ideas, thoughts and suggestions lose importance.

It is the same person, the same ideas, thoughts and suggestions that they would have given anyway BUT now not to be considered! Not only in our own eyes but we project it to others as well.

I’ll share an example of myself:

I was married for 28 years, 6 months and 9 days to my first wife, not that I’m counting- LOL

Rapture- 6 of 6

It takes a lot of research to prepare a proper post, I don’t just post what I think. Researching both Biblical and secular history is the proper way to make it correctly, in most cases. Plus I want you to think and study not just accept the things I write, nor what anyone else does either.

The MAIN reason I have found the things I have is through research.

Sorry this has taken so long to post but I needed to look closely at each belief, if you feel I did not write enough about your belief, feel free to post Scripture concerning it!

Changes Through The Flood- 5 of 6

We all have heard of the account of the Flood that covered the entire world and killed all that lived on land, of course the sea animals and fish would not have died. But have you even considered all the things that happened that this event caused.

Genesis 7: 1-5, The Lord then said to Noah, “Go into the ark, you and your whole family, because I have found you righteous in this generation. Take with you seven pairs of every kind of clean animal, a male and its mate, and one pair of every kind of unclean animal a male and its mate, and also seven pairs of every kind of bird, male and female to keep their various kinds alive throughout the earth. Seven days from now I will send rain on the earth for forty days and for forty nights, and I will wipe from the face of the earth every living creature I have made.”

Creation- 4 of 6

I had intended to post this one second, as I mentioned earlier, God changed my mind and in so doing He changed much of what was in this post! I am VERY hard headed and you can NOT change my mind once I’ve set it on any particular thing.

However I do NOT bump heads with my Creator because I WILL LOSE and I know it.

So He just simply gets His way! Praise God. 🙂

We read of the account of God’s creation and renovation of His creation in Gen. 1:1- 2: 22 which is too long to post it all here.

Wise Men- 3 of 6

In the Bible:

Matt. 2: 1- 12, After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi from the east came to Jerusalem and asked, “Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him.”

When King Herod heard this he was disturbed, and all Jerusalem with him. When he had called together all the people’s chief priests and teachers of the law, he asked them where the Messiah was to be born. “In Bethlehem in Judea,” they replied, “for this is what the prophet has written:
